RECALL

From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.

Usage

In auditing, a preclear may be asked to recall a time when they felt happy or a specific incident from the past, and they do so while remaining aware of where they are in the present. Recall is done from present time — the person thinks of the past without re-experiencing it as though it is happening now.

Why It Matters

Recall is a fundamental auditing technique because it allows a person to examine past experiences safely from present time. This ability to put attention on past events without losing present-time awareness is essential for processing charge from incidents.
