What makes this library different is which printing you are getting. Most free copies circulating online are later editions, retyped text, or scans of unknown origin. 11 of the 19 books here are scanned from the earliest printing AOGP holds — the original 1950 Hermitage House Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health among them. Each entry states its own printing underneath the title, and where we cannot attest to a first printing, it says so plainly rather than claiming one.
Every file is served from ao-gp.org itself. AOGP International is an independent Scientology organization delivering L. Ron Hubbard's original, unaltered technology, and keeping the source materials reachable is part of that.

Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science
Astounding Science Fiction, May 1950 — first appearance (periodical)
Hubbard's own account of how he arrived at Dianetics — the questions he set out to answer, the research that followed, and the reasoning that led to the reactive mind. It first reached the public in the May 1950 issue of Astounding Science Fiction, weeks before the book itself, and remains the shortest route into how the subject was actually developed.
Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health

The book that started it all. It sets out the reactive mind, the engram, and the full auditing procedure in one volume, written so that two people can pick it up and run the procedure on each other. Published in May 1950, it reached the New York Times bestseller list and has never been out of print since.
Self Analysis
First Edition, 1951
A book of processes you run on yourself, with no auditor and no meter — a series of lists that direct your attention back through your own memory. It was written as the one Dianetics book a person can use entirely alone, and it is still the usual first thing handed to someone who wants to try the subject for themselves.
Science of Survival
First Edition, October 1951
Built around the Hubbard Chart of Human Evaluation — a chart of emotional tone that predicts how a person behaves, communicates, and responds to help at each level. Hubbard called it the book that made it possible to predict human behaviour, and it is the standard reference for the tone scale in practice.
Advanced Procedure and Axioms
First Edition, November 1951 (Central Press)
The volume in which the axioms of Dianetics were first stated in full, alongside the advanced procedure of the period — thought, decision, and responsibility as the factors that hold a case in place. It marks the point where the subject moved from technique toward a stated body of theory.
Handbook for Preclears
First printing, 1951
A workbook of fifteen self-processing acts written for the person receiving auditing, to be worked through in sequence between sessions. It addresses the self-determinism of the preclear directly, and is the practical companion to Advanced Procedure and Axioms.

The 1952 operator's manual for the E-Meter — what the instrument responds to, how the reads are taken, and how the auditor uses them during a session. It is the earliest full statement of meter procedure and the origin of the practice still used today.

Written at the height of public alarm over fallout, this volume covers what radiation is, what it does, and the mental and physical factors involved — including the Purification-era thinking on how the body handles it. Part medical account, part Hubbard's own analysis of the fear itself.

The preparatory manual issued to students entering an Advanced Clinical Course — the processes, drills, and materials to be in hand before the course begins. A compact record of what an auditor of the period was expected to have mastered.
Have You Lived Before This Life

Forty-one case accounts recorded in auditing sessions in which preclears described earlier lives, presented with the auditing context around each. Hubbard published the raw material and let the reader weigh it rather than arguing the point.
Dianetics 55!

The book on communication — the formula of communication broken into its parts, and the two-way communication that underlies every auditing session and every ordinary conversation. Hubbard treated it as the point where the whole subject was brought back to one fundamental.

A large compilation gathering the Dianetics materials, bulletins, and procedures as they stood in the mid-1970s, including the Dianetics auditing then in use. It is a reference volume rather than an introduction — useful for tracing how a procedure was actually run at that time.

The first of the children's study books — the barriers to study explained in plain language for a young reader, with the misunderstood word handled directly. Short, illustrated, and written to be read by the child rather than about them.

About These Printings
A book's text can change between printings. Because the point of an independent organization is to deliver the technology as it was written, the earliest printing we can obtain is the one we scan and the one we publish. The line under each title records that printing exactly as the book itself states it — publisher, edition, and year.
Where the earliest printing is not in our hands, the entry carries the printing we do hold and says it is not verified as a first printing. We would rather tell you that than have you assume otherwise.
These books are made available for study. Dianetics and Scientology are religious and spiritual practices aimed at gains in awareness and ability. Nothing in them is medical or psychological treatment, and nothing in them makes any claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
