OCCLUSION
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
A person with occlusion has portions of their memories hidden on the time track, unavailable to conscious recall without processing. In auditing, the auditor works to recover these occluded areas so the person can access what was previously blocked.
Why It Matters
Occlusion indicates that parts of a person's past are being actively hidden from them by the reactive mind. Resolving occlusion through processing restores the person's access to their own history, which is necessary for full case progress.
