EVALUATION
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
If an auditor were to tell a preclear what their problem is or what they should think about an incident, that would be evaluation — imposing a stable datum on the preclear rather than letting them discover it for themselves. The first rule of the Auditor's Code prohibits this practice.
Why It Matters
Evaluation undermines the preclear's own ability to look, think, and reach conclusions. Avoiding evaluation in auditing ensures the preclear gains their own certainty and self-determined understanding.
