Usage

A person applying ethics considers what actions will lead to the highest level of survival across all the dynamics — for themselves, their group, mankind, and beyond. Ethics involves reasoning out the most survival course of action rather than acting on impulse or self-interest alone.

Why It Matters

Ethics is the foundation for rational decision-making in Scientology, aimed at optimum survival across all dynamics. When a person's ethics are in, their ability to benefit from auditing and training increases.
