CHART OF HUMAN EVALUATION
A chart with forty-three columns that lays out how people behave at each level of the Tone Scale. Read across a row and you get a whole picture of a person — how he handles truth, how reliable he is, how he treats other people — so you can judge behaviour accurately and predict what someone will do.

Usage
Someone hiring staff can use the chart to see the pattern a person is running, rather than judging on charm or first impressions. Because the columns hang together, a few honest observations place a person on the chart and the rest of the row tells you what to expect.
Why It Matters
This chart was released with the book Science of Survival in 1951 and is one of the most practical tools in the subject. It turns a vague sense that someone is "difficult" or "solid" into something you can actually look at.
