CIRCUIT

as though it were someone or something separate from him or her, and that either talks to him or goes into action of its own accord, and may even, if severe enough, take control of him while it operates. (A tune that keeps going around in is an example of a circuit.)

Usage

A person with a circuit might hear a repeating phrase or tune in their head that operates on its own, as though it were someone or something separate from them. In severe cases, a circuit can take control of the person while it operates.

Why It Matters

Circuits represent portions of the mind acting independently of the person's own intention. Identifying and addressing circuits in auditing restores the individual's self-determinism.
