CHART OF ATTITUDES
A chart of the main attitudes people take towards life, arranged in twelve columns. The healthy attitude sits at the top of each column and its opposite at the bottom, with every shade in between — "Survives" down to "Dead", "Right" down to "Wrong", "Fully Responsible" down to "No Responsibility".
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
A person can read down the columns and find the level where he honestly agrees, and that is his own attitude towards life at the moment. It works as a self-assessment as much as a tool for an auditor.
Why It Matters
The chart makes visible something people rarely state out loud: the settled attitudes they carry into everything they do. It was published with the book Handbook for Preclears in 1951.
