BUTTON

Usage
A button is a word, phrase, subject, or area that is easily restimulated in a person, causing discomfort, embarrassment, upset, or uncontrollable laughter when triggered by the words or actions of others. In auditing, the auditor may identify and address these buttons to relieve the preclear's reactivity.
Why It Matters
Buttons represent points of vulnerability where a person reacts automatically rather than rationally. Finding and handling buttons in auditing reduces the person's susceptibility to being upset or controlled by external triggers.
