BYPASSED CHARGE

Mental energy or upset that has been stirred up but not recognized or dealt with. In everyday terms, it is the feeling you get when something is bothering you but you can't quite put your finger on what it is — an unacknowledged frustration, a grievance nobody addressed, or an upset that got glossed over. It sits there under the surface making you irritable, reactive or withdrawn until someone or something finally identifies it. Once it is spotted and acknowledged, the tension lifts.

Usage

A person with bypassed charge may feel irritable, reactive, or withdrawn without being able to identify the exact source of the upset. Once the specific charge is spotted and acknowledged, the tension lifts and the person feels relief.

Why It Matters

Bypassed charge is mental energy that has been stirred up but not recognized or dealt with, and it sits beneath the surface causing ongoing discomfort. Identifying bypassed charge is a key auditing skill because unhandled charge blocks further progress.
