ITEM

Anyone of a list of things, people, ideas, significances, purposes etc., given by a preclear to an auditor while listing. At what was known as Level VI , it also has a specialized meaning wherein it is used to mean one of the component parts of a GPM (Goals- Problems-Mass). In its broadest use, an item is a term that includes a terminal of any kind.

Usage

During a listing procedure, the auditor writes down each item the preclear offers — these may be things, people, ideas, significances, or purposes that come up in response to the auditor's question.

Why It Matters

Items are central to listing procedures in auditing, where finding the correct item from a preclear's list can produce significant case change. At Level VI, the term has specialized application to the component parts of a GPM.
