IS-NESS

One of the four conditions of existence. It is an apparency of existence brought about by the continuous alteration of an As-is-ness. This is called, when agreed upon, reality.

Usage

The physical universe as people perceive and agree upon it is an is-ness — an apparency of existence maintained by continuous alteration of the original as-is-ness of things.

Why It Matters

Is-ness is one of the four conditions of existence in Scientology. Understanding it explains how agreed-upon reality persists — through continuous alteration rather than exact duplication of the original creation.
