DEV-T
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
When a staff member sends communications that are off-line, off-policy, or off-origin, it creates dev-t — developed and unnecessary traffic that bogs down the organization. An example would be sending a dispatch to the wrong terminal or writing about matters outside one's area.
Why It Matters
Dev-t directly reduces organizational efficiency by creating unnecessary work for staff who must handle misdirected or improper communications. Eliminating dev-t is essential to keeping an organization productive and on-purpose.
