DEADLY QUARTET
Four things that must be present before auditing can do much good: the person has to be willing to be helped, willing to be under the auditor's direction, able to communicate, and actually interested. If any one of the four is missing, lasting gains are unlikely.

Usage
An auditor who finds a person unwilling to be helped will handle that first, because running processes over the top of it gets nowhere. The four points are checked before the auditing rather than blamed afterwards.
Why It Matters
This is why auditing does not begin with technique. Getting these four in is the difference between a session that produces something and one that merely happens.
