THETA BEING
The person himself — the "I" who is looking. A theta being can create energy and impulses, think without needing pictures to think with, act without prior experience, and know simply by being.

Usage
When early material speaks of the theta being, it means the same thing later material calls the thetan. Both name whoever is reading this sentence, as distinct from the eyes reading it.
Why It Matters
This is the earlier term, from 1952, and it is worth recognizing because it appears throughout the material of that period. The word thetan settled into use afterwards.
