THETA CLEARING
The auditing done to produce a Theta Clear. In practice it means bringing a person up to the point where he can leave his body and come back to it at will.
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
Theta clearing is the activity; Theta Clear is the result of it. The first published procedure for it, in 1952, was called simply "Procedures for Theta Clearing".
Why It Matters
Being able to leave and return at will, rather than by accident, is what makes the state stable. That "at will" is what the auditing is for.
