MEST UNIVERSE
The physical universe — the universe of matter, energy, space and time. Planets and their rocks and rivers and oceans, the stars and galaxies, burning suns and time itself. It is the reality everybody agrees on and communicates through.

Usage
When someone contrasts the mest universe with a person's own universe, he means the shared physical world as against what the individual creates for himself. Agreement is what makes the shared one solid.
Why It Matters
Naming the physical universe separately makes it possible to talk about what a person is as distinct from what he is surrounded by. That distinction is where the subject moved beyond the mind alone.
