LIVINGNESS
Getting on with living — moving along a course you have chosen, driven by a purpose, with somewhere you mean to arrive. It is mostly a matter of clearing the obstacles out of the channel, keeping the edges firm, ignoring the distractions and keeping yourself moving.
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
A person with somewhere to get to and a reason for going there is in livingness, even when the going is hard. To get into difficulties, all a person has to do is start running away from the business of living.
Why It Matters
This is a plain description of a life going well, and it is deliberately unromantic. Purpose plus direction plus keeping at it is most of it.
