ATTENTION UNIT
A single small quantity of a person's awareness. People have differing amounts of attention free to put on things, and much of anyone's attention is tied up in the past rather than being available for what is in front of him now.

Usage
A person worrying about an argument from last week has attention units stuck back in that argument, which is why he cannot concentrate on the work in front of him. As auditing frees those units up, more of his attention becomes available for present time.
Why It Matters
Attention is not unlimited, and the amount a person has free is a good measure of how well he is doing. Freeing up stuck attention is one of the plainest results of auditing.
