PAN-DETERMINISM

Broad determinism: The action of determining not only one's own actions, but the actions of others as well, especially to determine the activities of two or more sides of a game simultaneously. (To become pan-determined it is necessary to view a dispute, struggle or game from both sides.)

From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.

Usage

A person operating in pan-determinism can view and determine the actions of multiple sides of a situation simultaneously, rather than being fixed on only one side. To become pan-determined, one must be able to view a dispute or game from all sides involved.

Why It Matters

Pan-determinism represents a higher level of ability than self-determinism, where a person can take responsibility for and understand all sides of a situation. This broader viewpoint is key to resolving conflicts and operating at a higher level of cause.
