HAVINGNESS SCALE
A scale of what a person can do about things — mass, objects, possessions. It starts at the top with being able to create, comes down through being responsible for, contributing to, facing, having, wasting and substituting, and ends at the bottom with having been created by something else.

Usage
Someone who can only waste money, never keep it and never make it, is sitting at a particular point on this scale. Where a person is on it shows up in how he handles his possessions, his money and his surroundings.
Why It Matters
What a person can do with things turns out to follow a fixed order rather than being a matter of habit. The scale shows what to expect next as a person improves.
