EFFORT PROCESSING
Processing that works on the physical effort locked up in a difficulty. The reactive mind stacks up in three layers — effort on top, then emotion, then thought — so taking off the effort uncovers the emotion, and taking off the emotion uncovers what the person decided at the time.

Usage
A person with a disability held in place by straining against something may first release the physical straining, then the fear underneath it, and finally the decision he made in that moment. Each layer has to come off before the next is reachable.
Why It Matters
Working in that order matters, because trying to reach the decision while the effort is still on top does not work. Effort processing is where the layered picture of the reactive mind first became practical.
