WORD CLEARING
The procedures used to find and clear up the words a person did not understand in what he has been studying. There are nine distinct methods of doing it, suited to different situations.
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
A student who has gone flat on a subject is taken back to find the word he did not understand, and that word is cleared up properly — looked up, used in sentences, understood. The material then comes back to life for him.
Why It Matters
Almost everyone has abandoned a subject at some point believing they had no aptitude for it. Word clearing is the procedure that shows that was rarely the reason.
