ROUTE 1

A set of processes, numbered R1-4 through R1-15, run only with a person who is already outside his body. They are there to get him reacquainted with the physical universe and to bring back his perception and his abilities.

From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.

Usage

The auditor first establishes whether the person can exteriorize; if he can, Route 1 is used, and if there is any delay in his answers, a different route is taken instead. Grand Tour is one of the Route 1 processes.

Why It Matters

These were published in The Creation of Human Ability in 1954. They mark the point at which auditing was addressing the person directly rather than his mind.
