ARC TRIANGLE
It is called a triangle because it has three related points: Affinity, Reality and the most important, Communication. Without affinity there is no reality or communication. Without reality or some agreement, affinity and communication are absent. Without communication, there can be no affinity or reality. It is only necessary to improve one corner of this very valuable triangle in Scientology in order to improve the remaining two corners. (The easiest corner to improve is Communication. Improving one's ability to communicate raises at the same time his or her affinity for others and life, as well as expands the scope of agreement on the subject of what is being communicated.)

Usage
To improve a strained relationship, one can apply the ARC triangle by raising communication first, since it is the easiest corner to improve. As communication improves, affinity and reality with the other person naturally rise as well.
Why It Matters
The ARC triangle is one of the most practical tools in Scientology because improving any one corner automatically raises the other two. This gives a person a direct, workable method for increasing understanding in any area of life.
