TECHNIQUE 8-80
A specialized branch dealing with the electronics of human thought and being. In the name, the "8-8" is two infinity signs stood upright and the 0 stands for the still, unmoving point that a person basically is.

Usage
Material described as 8-80 is dealing with the energy side of thought and beingness. The 1952 book Scientology 8-80 takes its name from it.
Why It Matters
Reading these numbers as sideways infinity signs rather than as figures makes the whole family of names — 8-80, 8-8008, 8-C — much easier to follow. They are pictures, not quantities.
