REPEATER TECHNIQUE

(Historical) The repetition of a word or phrase in order to produce movement on the time track into an engram containing that word or phrase. (Repeating or "rolling" a phrase in an engram in order to de-intensify the phrase or reduce the engram is not repeater technique.)

From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.

Usage

In repeater technique, the preclear would repeat a specific word or phrase found in an engram in order to move on the time track into the engram containing it. This is distinct from simply repeating a phrase within an engram to de-intensify it, which is a different action.

Why It Matters

This historical technique was used as a method of locating and accessing engrams on the time track by using the engram's own content as a guide. It demonstrates an early approach to navigating the time track that contributed to the development of later auditing procedures.
