COFFEE SHOP AUDITING

An activity casually done in odd moments by someone who is trying to show somebody else that he knows something about Scientology by running a process on him that will cause an effect upon him which he doesn't intend to flatten. This is not an ethical practice, as it is a misuse of Scientology.

Usage

Coffee shop auditing occurs when someone casually runs a process on another person in an informal setting, trying to show off knowledge of Scientology without intending to flatten the process. This might happen at a social gathering where someone improperly applies auditing techniques.

Why It Matters

This practice is considered unethical because it is a misuse of Scientology processing. Running a process without proper setting and intention to complete it can leave the person worse off than before.
