COFFEE SHOP AUDITING
From the AOGP Abridged Scientology Dictionary — based on original LRH source materials, updated through 1982.
Usage
Coffee shop auditing occurs when someone casually runs a process on another person in an informal setting, trying to show off knowledge of Scientology without intending to flatten the process. This might happen at a social gathering where someone improperly applies auditing techniques.
Why It Matters
This practice is considered unethical because it is a misuse of Scientology processing. Running a process without proper setting and intention to complete it can leave the person worse off than before.
