Drawing directly on L. Ron Hubbard's (LRH) own lectures and the AOGP knowledge base, they trace how LRH solved his “better bridge” problem: the long search for a route to Clear that any trained auditor could reproduce with standard results, not something only the researcher himself could achieve. This is the story of how a pile of scattered processes became a teachable, walkable Bridge. The conversation moves through the technology's most formative window. It covers the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course (1961–1966), where nearly all of today's modern tech was researched — TRs, prep-checking, Goals Problems Mass, the 72-page Prehav Scale, and the routines R1 through R3M — in an era before check sheets, Study Technology, the floating needle, or even the tone scale as we know it existed. The hosts walk through the very first 1965 grade chart, LRH's firm rule that you “do not try to make an OT before you make a Clear,” and the pivotal 1969 re-separation of Dianetics and Scientology into two distinct subjects — Dianetics addressing the body and the reactive mind, Scientology increasing the ability and knowledge of the thetan. From there they follow Standard Dianetics (1975), Expanded Dianetics for psychosis and destructive case phenomena, the L Rundowns, PTS technology, the Data Series and the first OEC volumes (1971), the move from the ship to Flag in Clearwater, and finally New Era Dianetics (1978) — with its missing key datum, postulate-off — plus the Key to Life course LRH built because society's literacy was collapsing even as the tech climbed.
